T.G.I.R.D.

After a late work night last night, I couldn't quite pull myself out of bed this morning for a workout (tomorrow is always another day...) but I knew I would have time this evening. A long day of culture and corporate strategy and I wasn't quite feeling a workout this evening either... Fortunately, it's recovery day! 

Recovery day is a nice break after putting your body through a lot of stress. I always enjoy this "calmer" day of insanity but I never quite feel as accomplished as I do on regular workout days. 

I think it's super important to remember that allowing time for your muscles to recover is important to your overall fitness goals although I know it's hard for me to remember some times. 

But recovery day DOES NOT mean giving yourself a break completely. Try a less strenuous exercise such as yoga or simply take walk or jog. I always try to do something active because once I take one day off, a second is just so easy to justify...
