Reward yourself

I apologize for being gone for a few days but I now have I great tip for you if you're trying to lose weight - catch the flu.

I contracted something nasty on one of my many planes this week that kicked my ass worse than Insanity.  I couldn't eat, let alone workout, for the past few days.  The result when I stepped on the scale this morning was startling...

I'm kidding about this being a good weight loss plan of course because it was quite miserable but missing my time in the gym made it even worse. I was feeling almost back to normal late yesterday but decided I'd rest just one more day. The problem with the break was that I lost motivation to get back into the gym.

Fortunately, my latest reward finally arrived and it gave me that extra push that I needed.  It's important to reward yourself for all the hard work that you have done. Try to avoid unhealthy foods as a reward but things like new gym clothes or clothes in general can be healthy ways to acknowledge all that you have accomplished. But really, new shoes?! What better motivation can a girl get?

 
And I'm already planning my next reward - a gym floor!  Unless anyone wants to buy me one for Christmas... :)
