I was checking things off of my to do list this morning and the next thing on it was to get in the gym. After fighting myself to get out of the warm sweats and into my gym clothes, I started a regular Insanity workout but I couldn't focus my mind on the task at hand. Everything else that needed to be done kept floating around in my little brain.
So, instead of pushing through like I usually do, I thought I'd change it up and throw in a P90X workout. But the same thing happened! I just couldn't shut it off today. :(
I don't give up easily so I decided to switch to my old shoes and head outside for a run. There is nothing that focuses my mind better than some good music and a nice run. So I enjoyed my run and focused my mind but I still wanted to try to get in an Insanity workout today even it was a shorter one.
After my 3 mile focus run, I came home to find that my washing machine wanted to malfunction today.. bye bye focus.. But I tried another workout anyways. I got a little further than the other times but still didn't have it in me.
I share all of this with you not because you need a play-by-play of my day but to help you realize that I still struggle even after MONTHS of dedication, hard work, and results but I didn't give up!! I kept trying until I found something that worked for me. You can do the same thing but you must convince yourself daily.
I feel like a failure today but the only positive is that tomorrow has to be a better day...
Today's workout: 5 mins of Insanity month 2 warm-up + 5 mins of P90X Kenpo + 3 mile run + Insanity month 1 warm-up
