"Fat clothes" box

At the beginning of every week, I write a "to do" list on my refrigerator. I break it down by what I would like to get done each day of the week so that each day I have a goal to work towards. If I'm being honest, my list is always a little bit more ambitious than I am but it gives me a place to start.

The first thing on my list every day is "gym." Chris laughed when he saw my list for this week but I told him that if it's not at the top of my list every day, it won't get done.

One of the tasks on this weeks list is "closets."  In my 1959 home, closet space is at a minimum which means Christmas decorations are stacked in the gym and hunting gear gets piled in the guest bedroom closet with all the jackets.. but one of my goals for this week was to clean out the closets and minimize the "stuff."

My closet has a lot of clothes in it that just don't fit anymore. I was all ready to pack them up for Goodwill but my mom insisted that I save some "just in case.."  So I bought another lovely tub to store them in and after my workout today, I set out to fill the tub and clean out the "fat clothes."

Before I even got started, I sat down and wrote myself a note to put in the box just in case I ever need to open it. I won't share exactly what it says but this was very important for me to do because I don't ever want to find myself opening this box.

After writing the note, I got started and I cannot believe how quickly this box has filled up! In fact, I may need a couple.  So far, this has been an amazing experience to realize just how much I have accomplished in a short amount of time but I don't think that this task will be getting completely checked off the list today...

So bust your butt and you may be packing your "now clothes" into a "fat clothes" box sooner than you expect! :)
