No pain, no gain

Today's workout:  Insanity Pure Cardio + Insanity Cardio Abs (-4 minutes)

I've been doing Insanity workouts regularly for about five or six months now and I absolutely love it! What I don't love is the way it makes my knees feel...

For the past two weeks, I've had to limit the number of times a week that I do Insanity since the high impact has taken a toll on my knees.  I absolutely hate that I have to limit the one workout that I've ever really loved but I'm hoping that it's temporary.

Today I chose to do one of the shorter Insanity workouts (Pure Cardio) and skip the 4 minutes of Cardio Abs that is high intensity. 

Modifying helps but the thing that helps most is another supplement.  Chris and I both take GNC vitamins - I take the Women's Ultra Mega Active and Chris takes the Mega Men Sport type. 

I didn't think that I needed to take the recommended serving of two horse-sized tablets a day but my knees can tell the difference when I don't since my vitamin contains joint cushion support.  I take one pill with breakfast and another before bed.

But at the end of the day, without pain, there is no gain.  Soreness is weakness leaving the body. So, what's your One Workout for the day?

  1. Also get in some quality fats with fish oils and some coconut oil. I add the coconut to my protein drinks. Makes a big difference.
