I'm bringing back the blog! Mostly because I'm in Europe alone and have nothing better to do but also because a lot has happened in the last 6ish months that I haven't been writing...
In September, I moved back to South Boston to start my "permanant" role as an Alliance Marketing Representative. I have to say, it was one of the best decisions that I've ever made professionally, but also personally. I love my little town and I couldn't be happier than being with my wonderful boyfriend Chris. :)
My job can be very stressful but I am very blessed to have such high profile accounts at such a young age. And I think I'm doing a pretty great job managing all of it (if I do say so myself!).
This job has allowed me to travel and see so many things. Although I have to admit, my dad was right - the traveling gets exhausting very quickly. Since I started my new job, I have added 4 new states to my "I've been there" list including Mississippi, Missouri, Kansas, and Illinois. I'm up to 21 now which isn't too bad for a 24 year old.
I arrived in Germany yesterday for a week-long transformer design training course. So far, I just wish I stayed home. While I hate to sound ungreatful, I didn't realize how hard it would be. I'm in the town of Bad Honnef which isn't exactly a tourist destination. Every time I speak, people look so shocked and I am sure that I look the same when they speak to me in German. And can a girl just order a delivery pizza to her hotel room?? Not here. I am hoping this week will improve tremendously once I meet the rest of the people in my class but I have no doubt it will improve when I head to Amsterdam for the weekend with my friend Anna!
