What's in the name?
As a marketing person, I'm always curious how an idea was formulated. The new name of my blog might seem rather simple and it essentially is but there is actually some thought that went into the new name.
The original idea for the name came from this statement:
Now, I have to come clean... I found this on Pinterest. I might be just as addicted to Pinterest as the rest of you but I choose to focus my pinning in the "Health & Fitness" section rather than the "Food & Drink" section. But back to the point.. my biggest motivator to work out is stress. This sentence has become a mantra for me once 5 o'clock finally rolls around.
Digging a little deeper, I use this "One Workout" idea to motivate myself to get through the day. Even though I set a weekly goal for how many times I want to work out, my short-term goal is a daily goal to complete just one. When you tell yourself you only have to complete 'one' workout, the task seems much less daunting than your weekly goal. So close the Pinterest window, tell yourself it's just one workout, and I'd venture to guess that 'one workout' turns into many more.
