Today's workout: Insanity's Max Interval Plyo
I find this time of year to be incredibly de-motivating. The sun keeps setting earlier and earlier and my motivation to get stuff done after work keeps getting smaller and smaller...
I am trying to use this as a way to get in the gym earlier in the day but come the end of daylight savings time, the sun will be gone before I even get home.
For the past few weeks, I have found myself working out in the dark. This started because one day I forgot to crank the AC long enough before I started my workout and it was just too hot; it was a mental way of cooling myself down.
But the lights off workouts have continued for about a month now and although it may seem strange, it seems to work. My TV puts off enough light for me to see what I'm doing in the mirror but the darkness helps to settle and focus my mind on the task at hand.
So embrace the darkness and turn off the lights!
