Many people (myself included) find it hard to get back into the swing of things. My trick is finding a way to hold myself accountable. Whether it's creating a workout calendar or writing a blog, find a way to hold yourself accountable and measure your goals.
I'm a checklist kind of person so one of the best ways that I hold myself accountable is writing a schedule or calendar. But make sure it's realistic...
Below is my latest calendar. It's the Insanity plan but you'll notice I did not put the days of the week on it. Between work and school, it's very unlikely that I will workout six days a week but if I have this calendar staring me in the face every day (it's on my fridge), I'm more likely to check off those little boxes. I'm also more likely to make good food choices since it's on my fridge.. double duty!
Maybe you struggle to hold yourself accountable but you can always find a friend or family member to partner up with. It's a lot harder to say no when you've committed to someone else. Find what works for you but remember - accountability leads to progress.
